Plans & Permitting

Per the adopted Fire Code and Wildland-Urban Interface Code, certain construction, operations, and special events requires a permit from the Fire District.

Please review Operational Permits and Fire Protection Systems for more information.

NLTFPD Resolution 22-01 sets service fees for both construction and operational permits. Below are the permit applications and the permitting process.

Fee Schedule and Applications

Advisory: the listed applications do not cover all construction and operations required to be permitted by the adopted Fire Code and Wildland-Urban Interface Code. If unsure of a required permit, please reach out to the Fire Inspector.

Note: many operations and construction may also require a Washoe County permit in addition to a Fire District permit.
